Meet Dr. Heather Horton

Dr. Heather Horton grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of Minnesota. While in dental school, she was very involved in research. Dr. Horton published her orthodontic research with Dr. Larson in the Angle. She also was a board member of the National Student Research Group and the national student representative to the American Association for Dental Research, and received the Pierre Fauchard award for research when she graduated. She also competed on the cross-country and track and field teams—Go Gophers!

Dr. Horton went on to complete her orthodontic specialty residency at Case Western Reserve University in 2013. She is currently a board member of the Saint Paul District Dental Society, and currently the treasurer of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists. In addition, she is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, Women Owners of Woodbury, and the AAOF Vanguard Society.

Dr. Ekim is excited to have Dr. Horton as a friend and fellow orthodontist providing high quality care for all of you!

When she is not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Horton still loves to run and is a huge Minnesota sports fan. Yet another interesting fact is that Dr. Horton has an eraser collection she started when she was four years old and now has thousands of them from all over the world.
